Every year Temple Adath Yeshurun honors a citizen of the year. The Rabbi there is Charles Sherman (father of TGR correspondent Rabbi Erez Sherman). Adath Yeshurun is located in Syracuse NY. You would assume some of the award winners would be former Orangemen, and they are. But this year they pulled off a big surprise and honored John Thompson (yes the former coach of the Georgetown Hoyas). Below is the article from Syracuse.com.Very cool read.
