Another game and another loss for Maccabi Tel Aviv in America. This time Maccabi Tel Aviv fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 108-96. They played a little better than they did against the Knicks and they did not lose their coach in the process. Also, there were no Rabbis running onto the court. Chris Kaman lead the way for the Clippers with 18 points while the number one pick in the draft Blake Griffin had a double double scoring 13 points and collecting 10 rebounds. For Maccabi Doron Perkins recorded a triple double 16 points, 12 rounds, and 10 assists. Perkins was a former D1 star at Santa Clara.
Below are the highlights from Tuesday's game:
The biggest story surrounding the game was the return of native Calfornian David Bluthenthal. Bluthenthal grew up in Westchester Califonia and went to USC where he played his collegiate ball.
Also, the game (and the game against the Knicks) was played for a charity called Migdal Ohr (which is run by Rabbi Grossman...the Rabbi from the Knicks game). It is a charity that helps fed, clothe, house, and educate thousands of immigrant children. The organization is amazing and doing big time mitzvot (good deeds).
Hopefully, next time Maccabi Tel Aviv comes to the NBA they can go home with a victory like they did in 2005 against Raptors (I'd even be okay with it if it were against my Bulls).
And Let Us Say...Amen.
